Walk into a basketball gym on any night and you will see people from all walks of life in there having a good time. It doesn't matter if you're tall, short, black, white, rich or poor, you only need one thing to belong and that is love for the game. Show up at any basketball court or playground and say "Who got next?" and the next thing you know you're part of the ever-growing basketball community. You can say anyone that plays basketball, professional or the kid in his backyard, belongs in the community of basketball lovers because they share that love and interest in this exciting sport.
I have played baketball since sixth grade and I have always noticed that no matter who you are or what differences one might have off the court, when you step onto the court all of that goes out the window and you focus on how your team is going to win. Altough I am not able to keep up with the young kids at the gym anymore, I can still call up some friends and see if they're willing to shoot hoops. Being able to play at any age is one of the reasons "I Love This Game!"
